What groceries do I still have at home?

How long has the yogurt been open?

Are there any expired items in my pantry?

How much milk is left in the refrigerator?

How do you properly store mushrooms?

Project description

As part of our Invention Design course, we have developed an innovative concept aimed at reducing food waste. Our goal is to help users never lose track of the groceries they have at home and, additionally, keep an eye on their expiration dates. We aim to prevent unnecessary waste by providing specific guidance on food storage.

Concept

Our concept integrates a camera and AI in an app, providing users with a snapshot of their groceries, generating shopping lists for depleted items, and assessing freshness by recognizing open or sealed products. The app also suggests recipes based on soon-to-expire ingredients, promoting creative cooking with what's at hand.

For the app, we deliberately opted for a simple design that reflects the purpose of our concept and provides a user-friendly experience.
